1 Million Kilometers of Driverless Operations: UISEE and Xinjiang Airport Group Set a New Benchmark for Multi-Vehicle Autonomous Airport Operations
From June 12 to 15, the 3rd Urumqi International Aviation Hub and Airport Economy Expo was held in Urumqi, China. During the event, UISEE and Xinjiang Airport Group jointly announced a major milestone: UISEE's L4 autonomous vehicle fleet deployed at Urumqi Tianshan International Airport has surpassed 1 million kilometers of commercial operations, setting a record for large-scale commercial deployment of advanced autonomous driving technology in extreme cold civil aviation airport environments in China.

Proven Performance in Extreme Conditions
Urumqi's severe winter climate presents significant challenges for airport ground operations. To ensure safe and reliable autonomous driving in these conditions, UISEE leveraged its proprietary U-Drive® autonomous driving platform, integrating cold-resistant hardware, multi-sensor fusion perception, snow-and-ice scenario optimization, and cloud-based fleet management capabilities.
After years of continuous operation, the autonomous fleet has achieved long-term commercial deployment with zero at-fault safety incidents, validating the system's stability, safety, and adaptability in extreme environments.

A Scalable Smart Airport Ecosystem
The project currently operates a fleet of 40 autonomous electric tractors and 20 autonomous shuttle buses, supporting both cargo transportation and passenger mobility services across the airport.
The autonomous electric tractors perform around-the-clock transportation of baggage, cargo, and mail, helping improve operational efficiency while reducing labor-intensive tasks.
Meanwhile, the autonomous shuttle buses provide routine transportation services for airport staff, flight crews, and passengers. Equipped with autonomous navigation, intelligent obstacle avoidance, and fleet dispatching capabilities, the vehicles enable safe and efficient passenger movement throughout airport operations.
