The 2026 IATA Global Ground Operations Conference opened in Cairo, Egypt. As a benchmark for China's smart aviation and green airport construction, Xinjiang Airport Group was invited to deliver a keynote speech, highlighting its large-scale L4 autonomous driving apron operations system developed with UISEE (Beijing) Co., Ltd. Xinjiang Airport Group manages nearly 30 airports across China's western region, serving as a vital aviation hub for the Belt and Road Initiative. As the world's only company achieving large-scale commercial L4 autonomous driving deployment in airport scenarios, UISEE has implemented its self-developed U-Drive® full-scenario intelligent driving system at over 21 airports globally, with over 4 million kilometers of cumulative safe operations.
Since partnership began in 2021, the collaboration has grown from an initial pilot of 5 autonomous baggage tow vehicles to over 60 L4 autonomous vehicles — China's largest airport apron autonomous driving fleet — covering the full spectrum from baggage towing and cargo transport to passenger transit.

At the IATA conference, Xinjiang Airport Group — under the theme "Intelligent and Green Technology Empowering Ground Operations" — showcased its AI Driver intelligent apron solution co-developed with UISEE.
Powered by UISEE's 5th-generation U-Drive® system with multi-LiDAR, HD cameras, and RTK positioning fusion, the fleet operates with precision sensing, autonomous obstacle avoidance, and stable performance in extreme conditions — including freezing temperatures and low visibility — perfectly suited to Xinjiang's harsh winter operations.
From indoor baggage sorting and cargo zones to outdoor aprons, autonomous vehicles handle full-process automated transport. Paired with the AI intelligent dispatch platform, the system enables 24/7 continuous operations, breaking through traditional manual efficiency bottlenecks.
In green aviation, UISEE's new energy autonomous fleet integrates with Xinjiang Airport Group's green taxiing and energy-efficient stand systems, building a "zero-carbon operation, intelligent dispatch, safe and efficient" ground support model — providing a replicable Chinese solution for global aviation decarbonization.
